In the simplest terms, "The Wave" imports event, calendar, news and video feeds from selected websites and other resources. It then sorts and categorizes this information into local, regional and national news and events. These feeds are then syndicated and spiderwebbed to massive feed directories, feed search engines and thousands of points across Internet.
For the more technically inclined, ecoparters uses a sophisticated, custom built RSS/Atom aggregation tool which imports and categorizes news items into robust, content rich blogrolls. Our advanced methods of aggregating feeds use powerful AJAX coding with a little help from PHP.
We recognize that one of the challenges with importing feeds is the sheer volume of articles available on any topic. We know this can be overwhelming, especially when users have numerous web feed subscriptions. As a solution, and for our users, we sort through all of our feeds and available articles and group them into easily navigable categories.
